Job Description & Responsibilities

To be an integral part of the team to support with all aspects of the care role.

  • Provide person-centered care.
  • Provide support in daily living activities.
  • Manage and administer medication.
  • Understand, adhere to, and follow care standards. Policies and procedures.
  • Keep all records up to date with accurate information.
  • Provide support with personal care (Undressing, bathing, dressing, toileting, continence care).
  • Provide support with Nutrition and Hydration – Meal Preparation.
  • Engage with the service user.
  • Light Domestic Duties/Shopping.
  • Make sure that safe care practices are adhered to
  • Using Moving and Handling equipment.
  • Communicate with other colleagues and senior level staff.
  • Maintain Confidentiality.

Ideal Candidate

  • Must be hard working, reliable and honest.
  • Experience preferred but not essential as full training can be provided.
  • Must hold a valid DBS / this can also be obtained if you do not have one.
  • A driver is preferred and essential.
  • Be friendly and able to engage with others.
  • Must have empathy towards others.
