Job Title: Senior Data Scientist

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist who can translate requests from business and product into data science and machine learning solutions, has a track record in using state-of-the-art machine learning / AI advances in production systems, and works well independently and in a cross-disciplinary start-up team.

Responsibilities

• Work with business and product teams to identify and formalise business objectives that can be improved based on available datasets.
• Facilitate data analysis to identify optimisation opportunities and prioritise data research.
• Rapidly prototype machine learning models, including creation, training, feature selection, integration with third party interfaces and model evaluation to drive customised business objectives.
• Choose data processing technologies, implement production training and real-time model evaluation architectures.
• Design and execute experiments to assess and optimise model performance.
• Operate as a data analysis consultant for customers and communicate data findings across the team.
• Hands-on problem solving.

Qualifications

• Must be hard working, team oriented, creative, friendly, cooperative, and an outstanding problem solver.
• Min 3 year experience with data analysis and data science.
• Min 1 year adtech/martech hands-on industry experience with a good understanding of the programmatic supply chain (relevant experience in fintech and other industries will also be taken into account).
• Practical software development and machine learning experience (e.g. python, tensorflow, pytorch).
• Familiarity with SQL and large-scale data processing technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Impala, Scala, Spark etc.
• Technology leadership experience from defining market driven visions/goals to the implementation of solutions in a production environment in collaboration with cross-functional product and engineering teams.
• A degree in Computer Science (preferred) or related engineering field. MS/PhD is a plus.
• Good written communication skills, with ability to create high quality, easy to understand documentation and reports.
