Job Description

As a Global Reliability Technician key responsibilities will be to support the Global Reliability Engineer covering both front-end product development reliability and back-end field reliability improvements.

The role will use data to identify COPQ improvement opportunities and where appropriate to initiate, drive and deliver those improvements using Reliability Engineering and Continuous Improvement techniques.

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Reliability analyses to support projects.
  • Support to RCAs and delivering solutions to problems.
  • Data analysis to develop KPIs and monitor trends.
  • Failure prediction models.
  • Parts consumption forecast models.
  • Developing condition monitoring solutions and rollout.
  • Vibration data analysis.
  • Reliability testing (plans, test execution and analysis).
  • Maintainability analyses such as RCM.
  • Measure and analyze product performance to identify opportunities to increase product reliability.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve reliability issues by working with subject matter experts to drive towards resolution.
  • Develop and prioritize corrective action plans with global teams.
  • Perform testing during the investigation phase and analyse results.
  • Track and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) that drive product reliability.
  • Develop methods to measure maintenance programmes and product performance to track monthly KPIs.
  • Support the Asset 'life-cycle’ care program and report on the effectiveness of service activities including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
  • Develop equipment strategies and tactics based on CoE recommendations supported by reactive corrective maintenance-based methodology and performance feedback.
  • Consistently monitor the effectiveness of preventative and predictive maintenance performance to increase asset availability.
  • Work on reliability projects that contribute to product downtime and support the uptime of the product.
  • Identify and report on potential gaps effecting global or CoE specific processes.

Policies and Procedures

Support the Global Product Reliability Engineer with the standardisation and application of all reliability aspects that are required in maintaining the assets lifecycle.

Support Value Added Value Engineering (VAVE) activities

Qualifications

Preference for HND minimum (or equivalent) - a mathematical bias preferred.
Lean Six Sigma – Yellow/Green belt.
Some experience of continuous improvement with recognizable results within a challenging environment.
Well-developed time management skills to handle a heavy workload, constantly changing priorities and deadline demands.
The corporate language is English, a high level of fluency is essential.
Broad experience of complex engineering systems.
Good understanding of Service Management Systems.
Project management knowledge and experience.
Excellent communication skills and ability to present information.
Knowledge of root cause analysis (RCA) and Failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA)
Excellent problem-solving ability.
