Junior Fiber Network Engineer

Role Description

We are currently seeking multiple Junior Fiber Network Engineers to be based in the UK. You will work closely with the Senior Engineering Team to assist in deploying Telecommunications fiber network solutions to our customers. You will have the opportunity to work on live customer environments applying configurations whilst updating documentation and creating network topology diagrams to track customer network states.

Responsibilities

Assist in design, development, and implementation of fiber networks and infrastructure services

Perform general maintenance and fiber network system upgrades

Support 3rd Parties in Integration activities and offer technical guidance on deployed solutions

Undertake typical break-fix support activities on all network-related infrastructure and services

Complete work to agreed time scales

Ability to take direction from management and execute work in an efficient manner for all fiber network projects

Proactive in the resolution of engineering obstacles, conferring with management

Document customer fiber network topologies

Perform other related duties as assigned

Ensure compliance with all current client processes and procedures

Assist in developing automation software tooling to bring efficiency within the organization

Be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external clients.
