FULL DESCRIPTION
Providing personal care: bathing, washing, showering and preparing meals within a clients own home.
Prompt medication and support clients to access the community i.e shopping and social activities
Provide social support within the home any given time of the day (live in care included)
Take responsibility of the shift while on duty
Liaise with other professional staff in carrying out care plans

Salary Range
21,255 - 23,400 (10.90/hr - 12/hr)

Essential Information
Preferably should have a background experience in social care however we provide extensive training.
Holds an SVQ2, HNC in Health and social care, or is working towards the qualification, qualification or equivalent.
Good verbal and written communication in English
A driving licence and car are essential.
Proof of right to work in the UK.
Successful applicants will be required to complete a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) application and also register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of starting.
Tasks
Home Care workers should be able:
1. To look after the physical, emotional, cultural and social needs of the Clients using a person-centred approach
2. To observe and promote the Clients human rights and the principles outlined in the health and social care standards
3. To evidence that care is based on dignity and respect choice, compassion wellbeing and responsive to their changing needs
4. To create and maintain good professional relationships with Clients, their family and friends and the wider agencies
5. To adhere to all regulatory and statutory obligations and Potters Health Cares policies, procedures and guideline
