This high-impact role involves strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, cost savings, contract negotiation, and ESG compliance. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of procurement experience and a track record of delivering measurable cost savings.

Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop, fully own and lead category strategies for kibble, wet food, treats, packaging and other pet health products & accessories using Nestle’s 7 step sourcing and supplier segmentation frameworks.
- Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Working with suppliers and the supply chain team to monitor supplier performance through KPIs and regular reviews, driving corrective actions as necessary. Building positive relationships with strategic partners.
- RFP/RFQ’s: Regularly leading tenders and competitive bidding processes to source new suppliers to support future growth, innovation, sustainability and to meet margin targets.
- Cost Savings and Mitigation: Analysing spend data, identifying cost saving initiatives and managing commodity reviews with existing suppliers.
- Supply Risk Management: Building and maintaining a business continuity plan, validating contingency sites for high impact SKUs.
- Contract Management: Negotiate new and existing contracts to secure favourable terms, ensuring compliance with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] testing standards.
- Forecasting and PPV: Providing accurate forecasts to finance team, tracking deviations each quarter.
- Environmental & Social Governance (ESG): Keeping Code of Conduct up to date, ensuring compliance with Nestle standards.
- Market Study & Travel: Maintain understanding of manufacturing landscape, attend trade shows and site visits.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or similar is desirable
- 5+ years experience in procurement and strategic sourcing
- Proven track record of delivering measurable cost savings
- Proficiency with Excel & detail oriented
- Experience setting up and negotiating contracts
- Strong negotiator and deal maker
- CIPS qualification useful but not essential
