Supply Chain Quality Manager

The Role

The Supply Chain Quality Manager is responsible for building [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s end-to-end quality management system, distilling established Unilever practices - spanning our supply chain network across contract manufacturers and 3PLs. Working effectively across multiple functions, this person designs the processes, standards and controls that prevent quality failures before they reach customers, and leads resolution when they do.

This is a hands-on, field-facing role. Approximately 30% of your time will be spent on-site at supplier facilities and 3PL warehouses across the UK and internationally - observing processes firsthand, building relationships with operational teams and identifying and resolving issues.

This is a junior to mid level role which reports into our Head of Supply Chain.

What you will do

  • Quality management system build: Design and implement [Employer hidden]’s end-to-end QMS; define quality standards, SOPs and control points; drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions.
  • Manufacturer quality management: Conduct on-site supplier audits; ensure documented procedures; develop scorecards and KPI tracking; investigate non-conformances; define quality specifications.
  • 3PL & fulfilment quality: Partner with fulfilment team and 3PL management; define inbound goods verification procedures; conduct regular on-site visits; develop 3PL quality scorecard; lead investigations and corrective actions.
  • Quality reporting, data & escalation: Build quality dashboard; produce monthly report for senior leadership; support external reporting; transition from manual to scalable data processes.
  • Continuous improvement: Leverage data to identify failure patterns; work with partners to improve processes; implement preventative controls; report trends to leadership.

What we need from you

  • Proven experience (4+ years) in supply chain, supplier or operations quality - ideally in FMCG or consumer goods.
  • Hands-on auditing experience - comfortable with on-site visits.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Experience building or improving quality processes.
  • Comfortable with regular UK and international travel (~30%).
  • Data-driven - able to build dashboards and scorecards.
  • Confident with manual/spreadsheet-based data environments.
  • Excellent communicator across all levels.
