[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is an award-winning, independent visual effects studio based in London, Bordeaux, Dublin and Barcelona with close to 300 employees. We are seeking a Senior Texture Artist to join our London team.
Job Description
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] creates innovative and complex sequences for high-end episodic television and feature films specialising in CG, FX, creatures and environments. Responsibilities
- Developing and managing textures for a VFX production pipeline.
- Creating the textures, colours and organic surface qualities needed in the completion of CG creatures and hard surface models used in production.
- Working as a team member in determining various design solutions and providing feedback to other members of the production by attending dailies on a regular basis.
- Working closely with Modellers, Lookdev, Lighting TD’s and Compositors in achieving the desired look.
- Maintaining a constant level of productivity while meeting deadlines and producing high-quality work.
Essential Skills
- Experience in Computer Graphics or equivalent.
- Strong artistic skills required.
- Proven experience within a high-end VFX facility in a similar role.
- Portfolio demonstrating traditional artistic skills including illustration.
- Proven experience creating organic and hard surfaces and textures in a feature film or production environment.
- Requires familiarity with film and video post-production techniques and with computer graphic techniques.
- A demonstrated desire to develop computer skills.
- Modelling/CG sculpting skills are a plus.
- Experience using Mari or Substance Painter
- Experience using Maya, Arnold, Deadline and Shotgrid.
- Strong eye for detail and aesthetic design.
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills; experience working under tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player who is able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Great work ethic and positive attitude.

- Must have a strong passion for good coffee / tea
- Enjoys chats about films/television/games/music
- Owning a cute pet isn’t a must but would definitely help.
