Location: Retford, East Midlands | Salary: £28,122 - £29,611 per year | Full-time | Permanent

Job Description

This is a non-operational job at HMP Ranby. The job holder provides supervision, knowledge and skills to prisoners in a non-specialist recycling and waste management workshop. The role involves maintaining structure, discipline, and security while offering work experience that mirrors outside employment. Responsibilities include supervising workshops, completing ACCT and SIR forms, contributing to IEP reports, and working as part of a team. The role requires an ability to fulfil all spoken aspects in English (or Welsh where applicable).

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise prisoners in the recycling and waste management workshop
  • Ensure a safe and secure working environment
  • Complete Assessment Care in Custody and Teamwork (ACCT) forms, Violence Reduction Incident Reports (VRIR), and Security Information Reports (SIRs)
  • Contribute to Incentive Earned Privileges (IEP) reports
  • Provide training and guidance to prisoners
  • Maintain high standards of service delivery

Working Arrangements
