Job Description
As a Prison Officer, you will protect the public and help make a positive impact on prisoners' lives. You will work directly with prisoners in a unique environment, acting as a peacekeeper, counsellor, or teacher. No two shifts are the same. You must have integrity, empathy, strong communication skills, and resilience. This role requires shift work including evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old
- Meet Civil Service nationality requirements
- Pass medical and fitness assessment
- Meet eyesight and hearing standards
- Demonstrate communication, decision-making, empathy, and teamwork
