About the Role
As a prison officer at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], you will protect the public and help make a positive impact on prisoners' lives. You will work directly with prisoners, acting as a peacekeeper, counsellor, or teacher. No two shifts are the same. You will be required to work various shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
This is a futures scheme: you will work at HMP Onley for 23 months, with accommodation costs paid (up to £750 per month), a monthly trip home reimbursement, and a recruitment and retention bonus of £1,500 after 12 months and again after 23 months.

Pay and Benefits
- Starting salary: £33,746 per year (based on 37 hours per week including unsocial hours allowance)

- 25 days annual holiday (rising to 30 after 10 years)
- Civil Service pension (up to 20% of salary)
