Technical Business Analyst

6 Months Contract
Reading - Hybrid working

We're looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join our Digital Transformation Programme and play a key role in shaping the future of our digital platforms. You'll help untangle a complex, multi‑partner environment and turn ambitious ideas into practical, scalable solutions.

In this role, you'll work closely with both business and technology teams, acting as the connector who makes sure everyone is aligned. You'll turn business needs into clear technical requirements, contribute to solution design, and help ensure what we build truly supports our product vision.

What you'll be doing:

  • Working with stakeholders to understand their needs and turning them into clear user stories and technical specifications
  • Contributing to solution design across APIs, integrations, and data models
  • Collaborating day‑to‑day with engineers, architects, and product teams
  • Helping maintain and evolve our high‑level architecture as the platform grows
  • Continuously improving processes and supporting smooth, timely delivery

What we're looking for:

  • Experience working as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst, with confidence operating between business and engineering teams
  • A solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, including APIs, microservices, and cloud-based environments
  • Hands-on experience working in Agile and DevOps teams, with tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Experience supporting digital or technology transformation programmes (a big plus)
  • The ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders-and vice versa
  • A good grounding in software architecture, design principles, and engineering best practices
  • Familiarity with product-led ways of working and cross‑platform design (web and mobile)
  • Awareness of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, scale‑up environment where priorities can evolve
  • Experience in telecoms or Ofcom‑regulated environments is desirable
  • Exposure to React and Node frameworks is advantageous, but not essential
