Transport Coordinator – Leicester
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established operation based in Leicester (LE18), who are looking to appoint a reliable and hands-on Transport Coordinator to support their transport and warehouse function.
- Location: Leicester (LE18)
- Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
- Pay: £13.50 per hour
- Contract Type: Temp to Perm or Permanent

THE ROLE
- Coordinate daily transport operations, ensuring timely dispatch and delivery of goods
- Liaise with drivers, warehouse staff, and internal teams to ensure smooth workflow
- Complete administrative tasks using internal systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Monitor and update transport schedules and delivery information
- Support stock control and booking processes
- Assist in the warehouse with loading and unloading when required (approx. 30% of the role)
- Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
THE REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in a transport, logistics, or warehouse environment would be beneficial
- Strong computer literacy, including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Ability to work both in an office and a physical warehouse environment (70% office / 30% warehouse)
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- A valid Counterbalance Forklift licence would be an advantage
