Finance Manager
Salary: £50000 - £65000 per annum, Benefits: Benefits
Location: Castleford
An immediate start is on offer with a construction business in Castleford for a hands-on Finance Manager to work closely with and support the Financial Director. You’ll be involved in the day-to-day running of the finance function while also contributing to the wider financial management of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Financial Director with day-to-day finance operations
- Overseeing transactional finance (purchase ledger, sales ledger, payroll support)
- Producing monthly management accounts
- Managing cashflow and supporting forecasting activities
- Balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close
- Supporting budgeting and cost control across projects
- Liaising with operational teams to provide financial insight
- Assisting with year-end and external accountant/auditor queries
About You
- Proven experience in a hands-on Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant role
- Comfortable working across both operational and strategic finance tasks
- Strong systems skills (Sage or similar preferred)
- Proactive, organised, and able to work closely with senior leadership
