Distribution Craft Trainee

Successful candidates will train to become a Substation Fitter, Cable Jointer, or Overhead Linesperson. The role is permanent after completion, with a starting salary of circa £17,666 and progression to circa £36,686.

Choose Your Path
- Substation Fitter – work on electrical infrastructure, maintaining, installing and upgrading equipment.
- Cable Jointer – specialise in underground cables, repairing faults and connecting new customers.
- Overhead Linesperson – work at height on overhead lines, building and maintaining power lines.

- Commitment and resilience to complete a two-year programme.
- Strong focus on safety.
- Comfortable working at height (for Overhead Linesperson and Substation Fitter).
- Working towards a full UK driving licence by programme end.
