Salary: £25,817 rising to £28,267 after 1-year service (plus 12%-30% shift allowance)
Working Hours: Full Time

Reports to: Production Supervisor

Job Purpose

You will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process of EV batteries in a brand new manufacturing giga-plant based in Sunderland. Working as part of the Production Team you will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of manufacturing equipment and processes to produce high quality products. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a team and be involved in all areas of the battery manufacturing process for the UK’s largest lithium-ion battery producer.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor complex machinery and production equipment
  • Perform complex assembly work in various areas of the production process
  • Conduct quality checks throughout the production process
  • Responsible for TPM (total product maintenance)
  • Perform first line maintenance
  • Suggest and participate in continuous process improvement
  • Follow verbal and written instructions for specialised equipment
  • Maintain company and personal targets
  • Follow health & safety guidelines and procedures
  • Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by the company
  • Escalate any issues to shift supervisors
