Building Services Manager

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is looking for a Building Services Manager based in Solihull or Nottingham with regular travel to other [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] sites. Salary: £61,601 - £74,963 plus benefits. The role involves managing building services through an outsourced TFM provider, ensuring compliance, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement.

Here's what you'll be doing

  • Ensure the outsourced TFM provider delivers efficient, compliant, cost effective & professional building services.
  • Influence development and delivery of TFM outsourced contract through operational reviews.
  • Ensure KPI’s are in place and suppliers deliver against needs of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal].
  • Control third-party service provider costs and challenge for best value.
  • Support contract award decisions following procurement processes.
  • Responsible for all aspects of building compliance: Asbestos, Legionella, Fire, electrical safety.
  • Ensure building performance and compliance to maintain asset quality and safety.
  • Develop and deliver compliance audit programme across all sites.
  • Develop and maintain building management operational processes and documentation.
  • Consider sustainability in all works delivered.
  • Be the single interface between business stakeholders and TFM provider.
  • Support business objectives and ensure sites are a great place to work.
  • Own site forum relationships and build stakeholder relationships.
  • Provide operational support to CREM Property and Projects Team.
  • Manage operational accidents and near hit investigations.
  • Play lead role in Business Continuity and provide out of hours availability.
  • Create environment promoting continuous improvement and best practice.
  • Champion simplification/digitalisation opportunities.
  • Promote knowledge share throughout CREM & BR and wider organisation.

What we need from you

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years proven leadership in operational building services across multiple sites.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation and compliance in facilities management.
  • Support development of facilities management strategy and stakeholder influence.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a BSM team.
  • Proven contract management and supplier development skills.
  • Risk identification, management and mitigation.
  • Financial and commercial awareness.
  • Ability to initiate and execute change.
