School Cleaner

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] in Wiltshire is seeking a committed School Cleaner to join their team. This is a part-time, permanent position starting 08 June 2026.

Job Overview

The working hours for this role are expected to be 18.75 hours per week, 41 weeks per year. 15:00 - 18:45, Monday to Friday. The start date for this role is 08 June 2026.

As a member of staff within our Trust, you will contribute to a collaborative working environment and play a key role in supporting the learning and development of all pupils.

You will be providing a high-quality cleaning service to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for staff and students. The role involves routine cleaning duties, including waste removal, floor care, surface cleaning, and the daily sanitation of toilets and wash areas using appropriate equipment and cleaning products. You will safely operate cleaning machinery, handle cleaning chemicals in line with health and safety guidance, and replenish consumable supplies as needed. The post holder will also monitor stock levels, maintain clean and organised storage areas, and ensure all equipment is used and maintained in accordance with safety procedures. Working closely with colleagues, you will support the wider school team, demonstrate flexibility, and contribute positively to a collaborative working environment. The successful candidate will be dependable, organised, and able to communicate effectively while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and a commitment to safeguarding and equality. Previous cleaning experience and knowledge of cleaning methods and health and safety practices are desirable, along with a willingness to undertake further training.
