About the Role

To be employed in this role you must be over the age of 18 and pass an enhanced safeguarding check. Our stores operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, bringing a wide variety of shift patterns. We'll work with you on your shifts, but late and weekend working is a requirement. You will be responsible for preparing patients for their eye examination, explaining each stage of the eye test, completing pre-screening examinations, booking appointments, dispensing spectacles and contact lenses, dealing with repairs and adjustments, and ensuring stock has been received. Full training is provided, including the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Optical Step In training programme or the Level 3 Optical Assistant Apprenticeship. High performers may have the opportunity to become a GOC registered Dispensing Optician via the Level 6 Dispensing Optician Apprenticeship.

About You

You'll be naturally friendly, highly organised, and want to get stuck in. Good computer skills, attention to detail, strong communication, problem-solving ability, and confidence with numbers are essential. You are passionate about helping people and delivering a great healthcare experience.
