Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week
About the Role
The successful candidate will ensure goods are received, stored and distributed correctly and the prison stores are maintained to the highest standard at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in ensuring that day to day stock control takes place so that appropriate stock levels are maintained.
- Operate a computer based stock control system so that correct data is recorded in a timely fashion and available as required.
- Transport stock items to the required location so that items are available for timely use.
- Document accurately all work carried out in accordance with the company systems and procedures.
- Dispose of damaged stock appropriately so that health and safety requirements are met.
- Ensure the maintenance of security within the prison environment by compliance with security instructions.
Essential Skills
- A full driving licence
Desirable Skills
- Fork Lift Truck licence
- Experience in manual and/or computerised stock control systems
