Purpose of the post

The UK Health Data Research Alliance Delivery Manager will lead the day-to-day management of Alliance-related activities. The role will be integral to managing and delivering the Alliance priorities of building communities, shaping standards and driving adoption. It requires close partnership working with a wide range of colleagues within [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], Alliance members and stakeholders from the user community as well as regulators and funders. The Alliance Delivery Manager will have responsibility for the Alliance Secretariat, onboarding new Alliance members, and managing progress across the priority work areas.

Main responsibilities

• Manage the co-ordination of Alliance’s work programme and delivery of its activities, working closely with relevant [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] leads to ensure that delivery is on track and identify mitigating actions where necessary.
• Manage performance metrics for the Alliance, capturing data on activities, reporting to the Alliance Executive Committee and putting in place actions to increase impact and engagement.
• Plan and manage the Alliance governance meetings tasks, including coordinating reporting across the workstreams, preparation of papers and supporting the Chair.
• Support the management the Alliance member pipeline and ensuring an effective onboarding process for members.
• Develop trustworthy relationships with the key stakeholders that foster efficient and collaborative ways of working across the team.
• Support members of the Alliance to take on more active roles, increasing resilience and expansion of the Alliance.
• Plan and coordinate annual review of the Alliance’s priorities, and interim learnings from programme activities, sharing information with team members and Alliance members transparently.
• Champion the Principles for Participation and how they translate into practical actions for Alliance members
• Gain a greater understanding of the needs of the Alliance community and helping prioritise and shape developments to meet these needs in partnership with relevant subject matter experts and [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] leads.

Knowledge, skills and experience

• Demonstrable experience in collaborating across teams and/or organisations to help create and co-deliver shared goals.
• Experience in UK healthcare or life sciences sector and an understanding of the organisational and political environment.
• Experience of stakeholder engagement / account management
• Demonstrable success in delivering programmes with multiple components, and organisations in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrable project management experience, across complex projects
• knowledge of supplier management experience in delivering high quality outputs, such as for events and resource development.
• Experience of facilitating meetings and delivering presentations.
• Experience of organising and managing successful workshops and events.
• Knowledge and application of a range of project management tools such as Agile methodologies and software such as Monday.com/ Trello / Jira, as well as traditional GANTT style planning.
• Experience in a technical environment, working with complex data.
• Experience of navigating ambiguity, championing change and providing clarity, with the ability to bring simplicity to complex processes.
