IT Operations Support Officer
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled individual to join our team as IT Operations Support Officer. This is a fixed-term contract until end of March 2025, with a salary of £40,000 - £45,000 per year. The location is flexible and remote within the UK.
Purpose of the post
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled individual to join our team as IT Operations Support Officer. In this role, you will work closely with the Systems Manager to ensure the smooth operation of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s platforms and services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, strong problem-solving skills, and a desire to learn and grow within the field of systems management. This role involves supporting a range of technologies and services, including file management, backup, instant messaging, email, and agile project services. The successful candidate will work on operational tasks, policy documentation, and contribute to ongoing improvements based on organisational needs.
Main responsibilities
- Analyse and understand organisational needs. Author business cases to support the selection of appropriate IT solutions.
- Maintain and operate [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s information technology systems.
- Assist with achieving/implementing cyber security standards (Cyber Essentials/ISO27001) certification across the organisation.
- Identify and provide expert advice on technology opportunities aligned with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s vision and mission and lead on implementing such solutions.
- Collaborate with vendors and partners for solution provision and support.
- Document the current IT systems estate.
- Lead on the development of standard operating procedures across the organisation and support policy document evolution and creation.
- Support systems management and continuous improvement efforts.
- Provide technical support to staff across all infrastructure which [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] operates.
- Assist in incident management and tracking for continuous improvement.
- Actively participate in [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to quality management and strategy development processes.
