Vehicle Technician

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring Vehicle Technicians and Mechanics of various levels to join their expanding workshop team in Bolton. Full-time, on-site position with competitive salary and benefits.

Salary and Benefits

Master / Senior Diagnostic Technicians: £18.10 – £19/hour (£39,530 – £41,496/year)
Level 3 Technicians (diagnostic skills): £15.84 – £16.52/hour (£34,595 – £36,080/year)
Level 3 Service & Maintenance Technicians: £13.80 – £14.93/hour (£30,140 – £32,607/year)
Level 2 PDI, Prep & Accelerator Technicians: £13/hour (£28,392/year)
Efficiency/Time Saved Bonus: up to £500/month (£6,000/year)
£2,000 Joining Bonus (£1,000 after 3 months, £1,000 after 6 months)
23 days holiday + Bank Holidays (rising with service)

Key Responsibilities

Carry out services, repairs and maintenance on customer vehicles
Utilise diagnostic equipment to identify and address issues
Diagnose faults across mechanical, electrical and EV systems
Road test vehicles before and after repair work
Communicate with customers to explain repair findings and recommendations
Complete documentation accurately and efficiently

Qualifications and Experience

NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent); Level 2 acceptable for PDI roles
Experience working in an independent garage or main franchised dealership
Motivation to develop your skills
Full UK driving licence

Working Hours

42 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, Saturdays on a rota 8:30am-12:30pm.
