Your Role
As Systems Accountant you will support the build and optimisation of our in-house finance system across the Platform Partner Syndicates (PPS) portfolio. Sitting within Partner Syndicates Finance, this role will play a key part in shaping how financial data is structured, controlled, and reported. You will work closely with Finance and Digital Solutions to ensure the system is designed to meet business needs, supports Lloyd’s requirements, and scales with continued growth.
What You’ll Do
- Support the build and optimisation of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s in-house finance system, working closely with Digital Solutions and Partner Syndicates Finance.
- Help embed robust data architecture, data flows, and calculation capability, with key inputs from Sun and Xuber.
- Translate finance requirements into practical system solutions that support reporting, controls, and Lloyd’s requirements.
- Streamline finance processes through automation, system enhancements, and improved data quality.
- Strengthen controls and data integrity across financial reporting processes.
- Support statutory and regulatory reporting by improving how finance systems enable accurate, efficient delivery.
What We Are Looking For
Finance and Lloyd’s Market Experience
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Experience within the insurance sector, ideally within the Lloyd’s market.
- Understanding of Lloyd’s reporting requirements and finance operations.
Systems and Technical Capability
- Experience working with finance systems in a syndicate or insurance environment.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Working knowledge of SQL or similar database tools.
Process Improvement and Controls
- Experience improving financial processes and driving efficiencies.
- Ability to strengthen controls and support audit outcomes.
- Focus on accuracy, data integrity, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement and Delivery
- Comfortable working across Finance and Technology teams.
- Clear and confident communication style.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver independently.
