We’re looking for attorneys with substantial litigation experience who can challenge advanced AI models with realistic legal scenarios, evaluate their reasoning, and identify opportunities for improvement. You’ll work on matters involving trial advocacy, motion practice, appellate strategy, evidence handling, procedural analysis, and judicial decision-making—documenting performance gaps to strengthen model reasoning.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Engage in substantive legal dialogue with the model
• Assess responses for factual accuracy and analytical rigor
• Identify reproducible failure points
• Collaborate with the team to refine prompts and improve evaluation metrics

Requirements

• JD and active law license
• Significant litigation experience – trial, appellate, or complex dispute resolution
• Ideal candidates may have publication history, prior clerkships, teaching experience, or subject matter specialization
• Ability to articulate legal reasoning clearly and precisely

Compensation & Benefits

Pay range: $50 to $75 per hour, determined by experience, expertise, and geographic location. As a contractor you’ll supply a secure computer and high-speed internet; company-sponsored benefits such as health insurance and PTO do not apply.
