- Title: Teacher of Year 2 Qa'idah & Islamic Studies (Female)

- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:15pm – 7:45pm
- Salary: £12.50/h (+ Fuel costs for applicants outside Wycombe)

- Reporting to: Headteacher
Role Summary
The Year 2 class Teacher will guide students in the principles of Islam, covering topics such as Fiqh, Sīrah, Ahadīth, ‘Aqā’id, Tārīkh, with a primary focus on learning to read the Arabic alphabet with tajweed. Children will also be taught general manners, simple duas and surahs. The role involves creating a fun and inspiring learning environment that nurtures spiritual growth, and creates a deep, lifelong connection to their faith.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Qa’idah with Tajweed
- Plan & teach Islamic studies class based on our textbook ‘An-Nasihah Book 1’
- Teach Surahs & Duas in accordance to our year 2 curriculum.
- Attend trainings & CPD sessions during class time and on the weekend (paid).
Qualifications and Requirements
- ✅ English speaking (UK born preferably)
- ✅ Fluent in Tajweed and with good grasp of Makhārij (pronunciation)
- ✅ Excellent class control and time management
- ✅ Knows foundational rulings and has basic understanding of Hanafi Fiqh
- ✅ Tech Proficiency: Competence with using educational technology
Desirable/Preferred Qualifications
- Qualified ‘Alim/ ‘Alimah
- Qualified Hafidth / Hāfidthah
- Previous teaching experience. Experience is not a must as training will be given, however any experience is welcome.
- Knowledge of teaching methodology
