Teacher of PSHE/RSE
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Teacher of PSHE/RSE to join the Wellbeing team. This is a full-time permanent contract starting 1st September 2025 at the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] site in London.
Main Role
- Prepare, develop and teach clearly structured lessons in Collège and Lycée.
- Liaise and monitor high quality curriculum materials across four primary schools.
- Make learning objectives clear with interactive teaching methods.
- Build successful relationships centered on teaching and learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to embed subject within school culture.
- Establish a purposeful learning environment.
- Lead the PSHE/RSE committee twice per year.
- Review PSHE/RSE policy annually.
- Establish links with university providers.
- Undertake level 3 safeguarding training and be part of Safeguarding team.
- Ensure pupil voice informs the PSHE/RSE curriculum.
Main Tasks
- Set challenging teaching and learning objectives.
- Plan lessons and sequences showing assessment of progress.
- Produce long, medium and short term planning.
- Select and prepare resources considering pupils' needs.
- Plan deployment of support staff.
- Contribute to Wellbeing team meetings and events.
- Differentiate teaching to meet all ability ranges.
- Manage teaching and learning time effectively.
- Track pupils' progress and address underachievement.
- Develop literacy, numeracy, and thinking skills.
- Use monitoring and assessment to improve teaching.
- Provide constructive feedback to pupils.
- Involve pupils in evaluating their own progress.
- Ensure curriculum coverage for all pupils.
- Develop strategies for cross-curricular delivery.
- Manage resources and maintain curriculum.
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff.
- Proactively safeguard and promote pupil welfare.
- Ensure consistent behaviour management.
- Play full part in school community.
- Attend departmental meetings.
- Undertake any other duties as specified by Headteacher.
Knowledge and Skills
- Qualified Teacher Status.
- Excellent understanding of PSHE/RSE curriculum planning and delivery.
- English speaker with at least good understanding of French.
- Experience teaching in an international environment.
- Drive to achieve best outcomes for every pupil.
- Proficiency in computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite) and learning technology.
- Committed approach to teamwork.
- Professional curiosity and continuous development.
Salary and Benefits
Monthly gross salary from £38,770 per annum (incl. all allowance). Employer contribution to private healthcare. Working hours: 19 hours per week (19/19). Permanent contract.
