The Role

As a Sales Assistant you’ll support your store team in driving sales and day-to-day operations, delivering exceptional customer service to optimise KPI performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and meeting targets.
  • Deliver market-leading customer service to drive loyalty and repeat purchases.
  • Offer a VIP concierge service, proactively contacting customers about products and tastings.
  • Sell the story, not the discount; share your passion for product knowledge.
  • Take ownership of your wine knowledge and work towards WSET qualification.
  • Maintain store appearance and handle operational tasks including deliveries and merchandising.
  • Identify improvements and support junior team members.
  • Act as key holder, managing opening/closing compliance.

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Excellent time-management, delegation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience.
  • Self-motivated, able to work alone and in a team.
  • Can-do attitude with problem-solving passion.
  • Adaptable and resilient to changing demands.
  • Excellent communication and time management.
  • Wine knowledge beneficial; passion to learn essential (WSET Level 2).
  • Full UK manual driving licence (held 12+ months, max 6 points).
