About the Role

Job type: Permanent. Salary: Competitive. Working Pattern & Hours: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Location: Hybrid/Flexible (Office located: Lancashire, WN8).

We are looking for a commercially minded and data-driven Operations Analyst to join our FP&A team. This role sits at the intersection of finance, operations, and data, acting as a key business partner to operations and the senior leadership team. You will provide insight into the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our warehouse and delivery operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations & Commercial Performance: Analyse cost to serve, unit economics, order-to-dispatch time, resource utilisation; support budgeting and scenario planning.
  • Warehouse & Delivery Analytics: Develop and maintain dashboards, identify bottlenecks, analyse fulfilment and delivery workflows.
  • Business Partnering: Act as key partner to Operations Director and SLT, translating data into actionable insights.
  • Data & Reporting: Build visualisations, develop scalable reporting, work cross-functionally with IT, logistics, and finance.

About You

Strong experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or operations analytics, ideally within warehouse, logistics, or supply chain environment. Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, Snowflake, Business Central and data visualisation platforms (Power BI, Omni, Tableau, QuickSight). Solid understanding of warehouse operations, delivery metrics, and unit economics.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or operations analytics
  • Advanced proficiency in data tools (SQL, Python, Snowflake, Business Central) and visualization (Power BI, Tableau, QuickSight)
  • Solid understanding of warehouse operations, delivery metrics, unit economics
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, linking operational insights to P&L
  • Experience with large datasets and scalable reporting
  • Highly proactive, self-starter mindset
  • Desirable: eCommerce/logistics experience, Lean/Six Sigma, WMS knowledge
