SAP S/4HANA Finance Support Lead

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking an experienced S/4HANA Finance Support Lead for a contract role focused on hypercare and transition support. The role is UK-based with hybrid working (1 day per week onsite).

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced S/4HANA Finance Support Lead to provide leadership during the hypercare phase following an S/4HANA implementation. This is a short-term contract role focused on stabilisation, issue resolution, and establishing a sustainable support model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead finance support activities during the hypercare period post S/4HANA go-live
  • Act as the primary point of contact for finance-related incidents and escalations
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and system integrators
  • Triage, prioritise, and drive resolution of defects and process issues
  • Monitor system performance and ensure SLAs are met
  • Provide functional expertise across core Finance modules (e.g. GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting)
  • Support data reconciliation and financial integrity checks
  • Document recurring issues and implement process improvements
  • Define and transition to BAU support model, including knowledge transfer

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance (implementation and/or support)
  • Proven track record leading hypercare or post-go-live support phases
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end finance processes
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience with incident management and ticketing tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • SAP certification in S/4HANA Finance (desirable)
