FULL DESCRIPTION

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Community Rugby Coach to deliver high-quality coaching in schools, clubs, and the wider community. This is an on-site role based at cinch Stadium, Franklins Gardens, Northampton. The role reports to the Head of Community and requires an England Rugby Coaching Award, a valid DBS certificate, and a full UK driving licence. The closing date for applications is 22 May 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality coaching sessions to people of all ages, genders and abilities primarily within, but not restricted to, Northamptonshire.
  • Deliver coach education sessions to young leaders, coaches, volunteers and teachers.
  • Visit and actively support local clubs to improve standards of coaching and delivery.
  • Assist in the delivery of regular and appropriate rugby union competitive opportunities.
  • Take a professional approach to planning, preparation and organization of sessions.
  • Maintain knowledge of safeguarding policies and reporting procedures.
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of all participants.
  • Promote and support the work of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] on match days and camps sales.
  • Strengthen club, school and community links through positive relationship building.
  • Undertake any other necessary duties under the direction of the Rugby Development Officers.
  • Deliver and assist in planning camps, festivals and events.
  • Promote new opportunities for business growth within schools, clubs and communities.
  • Collect and report participant data as required.

Essential Qualifications

  • England Rugby Coaching Award (ERCA)
  • A current valid DBS certificate
  • A full UK driving licence

Desirable Qualifications

  • Minimum Emergency First Aid Course or equivalent
  • England Rugby Refereeing Award (ERRA)
