Planning Lawyer

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Planning Lawyer to join its in-house legal team. This full-time role offers a salary of £44,428 - £48,474 per annum and is based in Kettering (with future relocation to Corby). The closing date was 14th December 2023.

We have invested in our legal team to support delivery of the Council’s priorities.

We are looking for two Lawyers specialising in Planning to join our in-house legal team. The role will require you to undertake a caseload of work including:

  • All aspects of planning legal work
  • General legal advice on planning matters
  • S106 Agreements – negotiation and drafting
  • Variations to planning agreements under s106
  • Advice on Planning Enforcement
  • Support and advice for planning appeals
  • Seeking advice from Counsel on specialist matters such as Judicial Reviews

It is desirable, but not essential, that you have local government experience and ideally have experience working in planning matters.

About you

  • Hold a relevant degree and be a qualified CILEX, Solicitor or Barrister, licensed to practice.
  • Effectively and appropriately provide and communicate legal advice commensurate to experience.
  • Have experience in Planning work.
