Job Description

To manage outstanding graphics and supporting [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’ communications, marketing and sales initiatives by managing relevant and engaging content for printed material and/or any onboard collateral. Manage all digital content for use onboard. Accountable for all aspects of conceptual graphic design, layout, production of print communications or adaptation of templates already in use following our branding guidelines. The role is considered an extended part of our corporate branding team.

Responsibilities

  • Guest Experience: Demonstrate genuine concern for guests’ wellbeing at all times.
  • Operational and Administrative: Work with ship’s Systems Manager, manage DTP and creative development, maintain quality control, serve as back-up resource, coordinate design and production of printed collateral, manage daily Currents, design onboard signage, manage collection of information, coordinate Wine and Bar lists, attend meetings.
  • iTV/Video/Digital: Manage interactive television content, ensure correct file formats, coordinate with Broadcast Manager, serve as liaison for video production and social media.
  • Social Media Marketing: Coordinate with Oceania Club Ambassador, work with officers, develop programming to convert guests and crew into social media ambassadors, partner with corporate social media team.
  • Print: Manage all print content with DTP.
  • Finance: Approve supply orders, work with Hotel Inventory Controller.
  • Training and Development: Train new Marketing Specialists, complete appraisals, ensure continuity, model leadership, foster teamwork.
  • Social: Maintain positive relationships, respect privacy, promote cooperation.
  • Safety: Participate in safety drills, comply with company regulations.

Education and Experience

  • Fluency in PC environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat)
  • Familiar with basic printing
  • Certification in Graphic Design
  • Previous work experience and portfolio
  • Strong photography and video skills
  • Experience with web-based content management tools
  • Strong creative writing skills
  • Familiarity with Cruise Industry preferred
  • Strong understanding of corporate branding and brand guidelines
  • Strong design, typography, and photo-retouching skills
  • Proficiency in English
  • Understanding of highest level of service
  • Excellent administrative skills and detail oriented
  • Well organized
  • Ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Outgoing personality, open minded and flexible
  • Ability to work in an international environment
