Overall, the service employs approximately 200 care staff and 30 support services staff across the 5 sites. Our homes accommodate 25 young people aged 6 - 17, our main aim is to offer an exceptional family focussed caring environment where children and young people can feel safe and thrive in order to meet their full potential.
The service is inspected by Ofsted on a yearly basis. Currently Thorndale Views is rated as Good. It is crucial that everyone in our team is committed and motivated to meeting the needs of our young people and have high aspirations for each and every young person we live and work with.

The Role
At Thorndale Views we have six young people (aged between 6 and 17yrs old) able to live with us at one time. These young people are here through no fault of their own. They have often had a troubled and traumatic start to their young lives, but through positive and constructive interventions by a skilled and committed staff team they are supported to address their emotional, social, and educational needs to enhance their life chances.
This role requires you to work to a shift pattern which includes early and late shifts with sleep over duties. There is an enhancement paid between 8pm and 6am and all weekend. You must have a good general education and be willing to undertake relevant training, including the Level 4 Diploma in Children, Young People and Family Practitioners.
Useful Information
You will work an average of 37 hours per week, following a designated shift pattern between 7.45am – 10.30pm, with alternate weekends and some bank holidays. The successful applicant will require DBS Enhanced Disclosure.
