Job Summary

With experience from the NHS and/or private sector, you will manage a complex caseload, which will see you create individual rapports with service users as you learn about their health concerns, goals and dietary restrictions and preferences to create a healthy nutrition plan. Main Duties of the Job

You will work at Rhodes Wood Hospital, a specialized Inpatient Eating Disorder service, handling a complex caseload and forming individualized strategies for each patient. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to treatment planning and maintain close community ties. Your duties will include weight assessment, meal plan design, pre-admission screening, and regular communication with the catering department to ensure menu accuracy. You will also provide weekly progress reviews to the medical team and lead group and individual nutrition counseling sessions.

Job Responsibilities
- Assessing service users’ weight and advise regarding weight, calories, and special meal plans
- Working as an autonomous dietetic practitioner to carry a complex inpatient and outpatient caseload, using evidence-based and people-focused principles
- Conducting pre-admission screenings for new referrals
- Liaising with the hospital’s catering department to review menus, allergen lists, portioning sizes and special menus
- Supporting in the development and co-facilitation of group activities and staff training
- Providing weekly progress reviews and feedback to the multi-disciplinary team in ward rounds
- Carrying out one-to-one nutrition counselling sessions
- Delivering the Nourish to Flourish psychoeducation group
- Carrying out one-to-one family support
Requirements
- HCPC registered
- BSc in Dietetics or Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics
- Post qualification training
- Post-qualifying experience of working with people with eating disorders ideally in an inpatient setting
- Knowledge and understanding of Eating Disorders in children and young people
