Medical Lab Assistant (Higher)

Band 3 Medical Lab Assistant (Higher) in Virology/Immunology at Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle. Permanent, full-time (37.5 hrs/week). Salary £25,272 to £27,476 per annum. Closing date: 21 May 2026.

Job Summary

Support biomedical scientists in laboratory duties including processing clinical specimens, registration of patients onto the pathology computer system, specimen reception, telephone enquiries, and general housekeeping. Qualifications

  • NVQ 3 in clinical laboratory support or equivalent (e.g., 2 A levels, laboratory competence training manual, IBMS Certificate of Achievement Part 1)
