FULL DESCRIPTION
Social Worker
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a post-ASYE Social Worker to join a mental health team in Buckinghamshire. Permanent full-time role at Band 6.
Main duties of the job
- Deliver high-quality social work practice including Care Act assessments, MCA assessments, support planning and reviews, using a strengths-based and personalised approach.
- Manage a caseload within reflective supervision, completing timely proportionate interventions that promote independence, wellbeing and recovery for adults with mental health needs.
- Identify, assess and manage risk, ensuring compliance with safeguarding procedures, escalating concerns appropriately and contributing to multi-agency safeguarding processes.
- Work collaboratively with adults, families, carers and multi-disciplinary partners, building effective relationships and ensuring lived experience informs support planning.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records and produce high-quality professional reports in line with GDPR, legislation and local authority/Trust procedures.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Qualification in Social Work
- Completion of ASYE year
- Registration with Social Work England
- Full valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
Experience
- Knowledge and experience of working with vulnerable adults in a statutory setting
- Experience undertaking direct work with adults
- Experience of assessments, reviews and s42's under The Care Act 2014
Knowledge
- Understanding the needs of service users requiring mental health services
- Working with health and social care databases
- Understanding of commissioning and delivery of care services through local authority
- Applying relevant legal frameworks into practice
