Job summary
We are looking for an experienced Primary Care Nurse, newly qualified and secondary care experience need not apply, thank you. We are seeking a compassionate and proactive registered Nurse to join our team and to support the delivery of high-quality patient care within our busy GP surgery. The successful candidate will be working across our 3 sites with our varied Nursing Team. Primary care experience is essential.
Main duties of the job
This will be a varied role including nursing clinics. Providing an excellent patient service and patient relationship skills, excellent communication skills, a confident manner and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential attributes of any applicants. Applicants should possess the appropriate qualifications: Cervical Screening Qualification, Chronic Disease Management, Baby immunisations.

Job responsibilities
- Identify, assess and diagnose patients with complex health needs across the Practice population.
- Work with others to change policies to improve health and well-being and reduce inequalities.
- Assist with the implementation and evaluation of evidence-based practice to improve the services offered by the Practice nursing team.
- Assist with management of Chronic Diseases, wound care, health screening, travel health, health screening, immunisations (Adult and Child), Cytology.
- Stock maintenance and ordering.
- Any other delegated duties appropriate to the post.

Qualifications
- First level nurse, relevant nursing/health degree.
- Professional registration with the NMC - Nursing & Midwifery Council.
