Estates Manager (Electrical)
Due to a re-organisation of the Estates Department there is a vacancy for an Estates Manager (Electrical). Hours - 37.5 hours per week. £51,598 per annum (spot salary). A higher starting salary may be considered for candidates with exceptional skills and experience relevant to the role. Plus 27 days holiday, plus bank holidays and voluntary pension scheme. The role is Monday- Friday with opportunities for overtime and weekend working, plus participation of an emergency on call rota. Start and finishing times 8.00 am to 4.00 pm. The [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Estates Department provides a comprehensive maintenance repair and installation service of building, grounds, engineering services and associated equipment throughout the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Trust.
As an Electrical operational lead, assist the Head of Estates in the operational management of the Trust's estate at the designated site(s), including all building and Electrical systems and for ensuring that these are maintained to the appropriate NHS and statutory standards. Ensure the provision of an efficient, effective and safe patient focused maintenance service. Acts as Lead Authorised Person for the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] and or Authorised Person (AP) in relation to electrical maintenance responsibilities (HV, LV, Lifts, Fire Alarms). Implements physical assets register; oversees minor schemes and capital work. Leads continuous improvement of maintenance services. Provides expert specialist and professional building and electrical/engineering expertise to other estates staff, directors, senior management, and external agencies.
- Qualifications (Essential): Electrical engineering degree or significant equivalent experience; IOSH Managing Safely; Authorised/Responsible persons under HTM; Project management qualification; Relevant management qualifications.
- Experience (Essential): Significant experience at technical level in building/engineering environment; Significant experience on all electrical based systems LV/HV UPS/IPS, lifts, fire alarms; BMS system experience; Significant NHS experience; CAD experience; CAFM systems experience; Management experience at senior level.
- Skills (Essential): Excellent communication; In-depth fault finding; Health & safety knowledge; Organisational and planning skills; Analytical skills; Computer databases (CAFM, CAD); Knowledge of estates issues, legislation, H&S compliance.
