Patient Care Coordinator
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator. This is a permanent, full-time/part-time position based in Norwich, Norfolk. Salary: £12.71 per hour (rising to £13 after probation). Closing date: 29 May 2026.
Job Summary
We are growing our team! We are looking for trained SystmOne receptionists to work full or part time with a start time of 8am and a finish time of 6.30pm. This position is for experienced medical receptionists with experience in general practice or the NHS. You must be able to start at 8am and work a full day until 6.30pm, part time accepted.

Main Duties of the Job
- Offer general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors
- Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional
- Undertake a variety of administrative duties including secretarial and clerical support
- Facilitate effective communication between patients, the primary health care team, secondary care and other agencies

We are a busy City Practice providing services for 8,500 patients. Our team includes GP Partners, Salaried GP, Nurses, Health Care Assistant, Phlebotomist, and PCN colleagues. We use SystmOne and digital platforms like Accurx. We are a well established training Practice.
Job Responsibilities
The purpose of the role is to offer general assistance, manage patient contact, triage, signpost, and undertake reception and administration duties. Detailed duties include maintaining appointments system, processing requests, handling telephone calls, sorting mail, scanning, filing, and end-of-day procedures.
Person Specification
Essential
- Ability to use own judgement and common sense
- Understanding of confidentiality
- Team working ability
- Good keyboard skills
- Ability to work under pressure
Desirable
- Experience in General Practice
- Flexibility of working hours
Qualifications
- GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
- Reception staff need to be tactful and communicative
