Main Duties of the Job
As a Housekeeping Assistant at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], you will join a supportive team committed to the care of residents at Acacia Mews Care Home. Your role will involve working as part of a team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and laundry according to our housekeeping and laundry procedures. This includes understanding the cleaning requirements for various surfaces and ensuring all areas are well maintained. Respect for residents' dignity and personal spaces is essential. You will need to demonstrate knowledge of Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments. Experience in a similar role in a public setting and the ability to adapt to cover various responsibilities are also required.
Job Responsibilities
- Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
- Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
- Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
About You

- Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
- Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.

- The ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
