Job Summary
As an exciting part of the establishment of the South Wales Trauma Network, there is a requirement for Health Boards to ensure an enhancement of major trauma care and coordination in the Trauma Units (TU's). [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] will have a TU located at GUH.
There is 1.4 wte available. Full time and part-time options can be considered.
Main Duties
- The post holder will be an allied health professional and hold a clinical case load in their own professional field with the coordinator aspect forming approximately 50% of their role.
- Work as an integral member of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team to coordinate the rehabilitation pathway across the whole system.
- Act as a liaison between the acute trauma team, other rehabilitation teams and relevant partner agencies.
- Plan, implement and monitor delivery of individuals' recovery programme and facilitate transfer to appropriate setting.
- Evaluate patient reported outcomes throughout the patient's journey.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Degree level qualification leading to eligibility to register with HCPC
- Professional Registration - Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Evidence of relevant specialist post graduate qualification/training in rehabilitation at Masters level
Experience
- Significant post graduate clinical experience at senior level (band 6 or above) working with people with a range of clinical needs e.g., rehabilitation, major trauma, trauma + orthopaedics, neurological services
- Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience of leading clinical and organisational audit
- Experience of developing and implementing clinical guidelines and standards
- Experience of supervising staff
Skills & Attributes
- Ability to discuss clinical reasoning process in management of complex cases
- Good communication skills
- Ability to design and lead a Health Board wide training programme
- Ability to cope well under pressure
- Excellent knowledge of relevant national and local clinical guidelines
