Job Summary
The trust is seeking a Full time (10PA) Speciality Doctor to work within the Older Peoples Care Unit at Kingsmill Hospital. [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is a major provider of specialist mental health services for older people in Nottingham City and the wider county.
Main Duties of the Job
- To undertake the administrative duties associated with the care of patients
- To record clinical activity accurately and comprehensively
- To participate in annual appraisal
- To attend and participate in the academic programme of the Trust
- To maintain professional registration with the General Medical Council
- To participate annually in a job plan review
- To work with local managers and professional colleagues
- To provide high quality evidence-based senior medical care

Job Responsibilities
The dementia inpatient unit (Kingfisher Ward) is a 15 bedded assessment unit based at Blossomwood mental health unit. The post holder will work as an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team, clerk new admissions, assess mental and physical states, and liaise with colleagues.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- Essential: MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
- Desirable: MRCPsych, additional clinical qualifications
Eligibility
- Essential: Fully registered with GMC with licence to practice, 3 years' experience in Psychiatry
Clinical Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Excellent knowledge in specialty, clinical skills, communication, ability to manage complexity
Academic Skills & Lifelong Learning
- Able to deliver teaching, work in team, commitment to improvement
