Pelvic Health Physiotherapist
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Band 6 Pelvic Health Physiotherapist based at Wexham Park Hospital, Slough. This permanent, full-time role offers a salary of £41,957 to £50,387 per annum. The closing date is 14 May 2026.
Job summary
Are you a physiotherapist with an interest or experience in pelvic health? Have you completed Band 5 rotations across a range of specialities, including MSK? Following the successful establishment of our Perinatal Pelvic Health Service in 2022, [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is looking to expand our Pelvic Health Physiotherapy team to meet increasing service demand.
This Band 6 post will be based primarily at Wexham Park Hospital, with the opportunity to deliver community clinics within the local area. Join a well-established and supportive pelvic health team consisting of:
- Band 8a Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner
- Band 7 Team Lead Physiotherapist
- Band 6 Senior Physiotherapist
- Band 4 Associate Practitioner
This is an additional Band 6 post, supporting continued service growth. Opportunity to develop specialist pelvic health skills within a multidisciplinary environment. Condensed hours over 4 days are preferred. Working days must include Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Main duties of the job
- You will join a growing, experienced team of physiotherapists and assistant practitioners, delivering a high-quality, evidence-based pelvic health service. Advanced Practice Physiotherapists within the team provide expert clinical advice, supervision, and support.
- We offer a well-structured in-service training programme, alongside a range of continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities.
- There may also be opportunities to supervise junior staff and support physiotherapy students.
- The postholder will manage a varied caseload, including one-to-one appointments, as well as virtual and face-to-face group sessions where appropriate.
- You will undertake specialist assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of pelvic health conditions across Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Urology, and Colorectal services, working in line with local care pathways and national guidelines.
- This will include the management of pelvic floor dysfunction, such as incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, vulval pain, and obstetric perineal trauma, supporting patients to improve function and quality of life.

Job responsibilities
- To provide an effective, high quality physiotherapy service to outpatients in the specialty of Pelvic Health.
- To undertake specialist physiotherapeutic assessment, clinical diagnosis, and treatment of patient with Pelvic Health problems. These patients may have complex and/or chronic presentations.
- To supervise and teach recently qualified physiotherapists/technicians/assistants and students and be involved in teaching MDT staff.
- To participate in CPD and other departmental activities.
Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential: BSc Physiotherapy, Evidence of recent and relevant study in clinical area, HCPC Registration
Desirable: Member of POGP, Evidence of some managerial training
Skills
Essential: Experience of supervising/appraising other staff, Able to present information to a group, Interpersonal skills including clear, concise and effective verbal and written reports, Organisational skills.
Desirable: Be able to work single handedly and in groups.
Experience
Essential: Completion of B5 NHS rotations including MSK, Training and supervision to support all physiotherapy staff and students, Multidisciplinary working.
Desirable: Experience of NHS Pelvic Health Physiotherapy at B5 or B6 level, Experience of research and audit
