Advanced Nurse Practitioner - Breast
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join the Breast Unit. This is a permanent, part-time position based at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], Chelsea, with a salary range of £66,274 to £73,496 per annum pro rata. The closing date is 21 May 2026.
Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Breast Unit for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner Team to join an established team of Breast Diagnostic ANP's to work across our Chelsea and Sutton site. The successful candidate will work in the Breast Diagnostic clinics as an autonomous practitioner. Also to provide support to patients with in the Open Access Follow up service supporting patients with a wide range of needs such as aspects relating to their breast surveillance and managing their endocrine treatments.
Main Duties of the Job
- You will be an excellent practitioner, acting within your professional boundaries and aligned to the RCN standards of advanced practice (RCN, 2018)
- You will demonstrate a natural alignment to our organisational values, pursuing excellence, working collaboratively, showing kindness and pioneering change.
- You will have the skills to independently undertake history taking, breast assessment, diagnosis, treatment assessments and evaluation of care.
- You will use your knowledge and skills to provide expert, efficient and safe patient care .
- You will demonstrate expert knowledge and understanding of breast cancer and all treatment modalities, benign breast diseases and the importance of effective intervention to promote supported self-management throughout long term follow up .

Person Specification
Education/Qualifications
Essential
- First level registration
- First level degree in a relevant specialty
- MSc or working towards in relevant subject
- Relevant formal teaching / mentoring experience
- Evidence of continued professional development
Desirable
- Post Registration qualification in cancer nursing
Experience
Essential
- Significant relevant post-registration experience, including experience as an ANP
- Clinical management experience
- Experience of managing staff
Desirable
- Demonstrable experience in a range of cancer care settings
- Budget Management / management of resources
Skills/Abilities/Knowledge
Essential
- Clinical Skills e.g. Physical assessment, Venepuncture and Cannulation
- Experience in a specialist nursing role; including communication and psychological support training
- Evidence of good leadership qualities, including delegation and co-ordination of teams
- The ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English to a wide range of people both internally and externally, often involving highly complex or sensitive information.
- Presentation skills
- Ability to innovate and respond to change
- Ability to interpret and implement new policies into workplace procedures
- Evidence of commitment to patient and carer involvement in care
- Knowledge of clinical governance issues and risk management strategies
- Ability to make decisions, organise and prioritise
- Excellent interpersonal skills with particular ability to liaise effectively with multi- disciplinary team members
- Experience and ability to manage conflict situations
