The Cardiology Department at the Cumberland Infirmary is seeking a clerical officer to join our busy team. You will provide administrative and clerical support within the Cardiology Department, process referrals, book appointments, perform receptionist duties, dispatch results, and answer telephone calls. This is a permanent, part-time position with a salary of £24,465 a year pro rata.

The Cardiology Department at the Cumberland Infirmary is seeking a clerical officer to join our busy team.
You will be required to provide administrative and clerical support within the Cardiology Department based in the Out Patient Department. Working as part of a busy multi-disciplinary team, you will processes referrals for a range of investigations and book patients' appointments. Perform receptionist duties for the department, dispatch results and answer telephone calls from patients, doctors and other health care professionals.
Applicants should possess GCSE Grade C in English language or equivalent. Experience of administrative or secretarial duties including the use of Microsoft Office and databases are essential requirements of the post. Knowledge of Silverlink PAS would be advantageous. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential. Previous experience of working within a health care setting is desirable, NVQ 2/3 in Business Administration or equivalent
Main Duties of the Job
To work within the Cardiology team providing administrative support. This is to include organising appointments, receptionist duties, general office duties and liaising with other health care professionals.
