CAMHS Team Administrator
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a CAMHS Team Administrator to provide administrative support to the CAMHS local service. This is a fixed-term, full-time role based at Westminster CAMHS in London.
Main Duties of the Job
- Provide complete administrative support to multi-disciplinary staff including word processing, filing, emails, photocopying, data entry, and spreadsheets.
- Maintain a diary of appointments and information for teams manually/electronically.
- Ensure efficient running of the service with knowledge of patient/professional requirements.
- Establish and maintain an organized administrative service.
- Monitor demand against capacity and escalate issues.
- Create and update patient electronic records.
- Schedule appointments and notify patients of changes.
- Record all system information accurately.
- Support the CAMHS team with general administrative duties, including audio typing, filing, and dealing with queries.

Salary: £31,554 - £33,270 per annum (Band 3, Agenda for Change). Contract: Fixed term for 9 months, full-time. Closing date: 14 May 2026.
Job Responsibilities
- Act as first point of contact for service users, recording details on Trust clinical systems.
- Work positively with colleagues to maintain effective relationships.
- Manage caller expectations and provide accurate information.
- Use various communication skills including working with interpreters and those with disabilities.
- Record data accurately in patient electronic records.
- Have full working knowledge of IT systems.
- Sort, distribute, and prioritise incoming mail, emails, and calls.
- Ensure patient notes are treated confidentially per Caldicott guidelines.
- Undertake administrative duties for referrals and bookings.
Person Specification
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent.
- NVQ 3 in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
- Good standard of written and spoken English.
- Relevant administrative experience.
- Skilled in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Data entry skills including Excel.
- Understanding of Data Protection/Confidentiality.
- Familiarity with switchboard duties (desirable).
- Knowledge of Patient Administration systems (desirable).
- Experience of working in the NHS and knowledge of mental health terminology (desirable).
