Were now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Care Assistant at Hempstalls Hall Care Home in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Main Duties of the Job
The role of a Care Assistant at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] involves delivering high standards of personal care and supporting the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents. Responsibilities include assisting residents with personal hygiene while maintaining their independence and dignity, recognizing and understanding clinical risk areas and escalating them, and practicing safe systems of work. Candidates are expected to demonstrate effective communication skills and adaptability, living by the company's values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable.
Job Responsibilities
- Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
- Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and escalate any identified risks in a timely manner.
- Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
- Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.
