FULL DESCRIPTION

Finance Apprentice

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a dedicated and detail focused Finance & Procurement Apprentice to join its Finance and Procurement Teams.

Main duties of the job

  • Assist with monthly accruals and prepayments and support period end activities.
  • Contribute to maintaining accurate financial forecasts and preparation of annual budgets.
  • Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions during busy periods.
  • Support production of monthly financial reports including variance analysis and trend monitoring.
  • Assist with timely raising of sales orders for accurate billing of contractual income.
  • Maintain high standards of data quality and contribute to continuous improvement.

Job responsibilities

The post holder will provide support to the Finance and Procurement teams. Key responsibilities include: preparation of accruals and prepayment journals, reconciliation of payroll transactions, assistance with recharges, raising sales orders, balance sheet reconciliations, reconciling budgeted establishments, supporting annual budget setting, assisting budget holder meetings, resolving queries, analysing ledger postings, maintaining Standard Operating Procedures, and supporting year-end tasks.

Person Specification

  • Essential: GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths, and answers to specified questions about motivation and teamwork.
  • Desirable: Educated to intermediate AAT level or equivalent.
