Practice Manager

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Practice Manager to provide leadership and management enabling the practice to meet its aims. This is a fixed term contract for 14 months, with full-time or part-time working pattern. Based in Llandrindod Wells, Powys.

Job responsibilities

Strategic management and planning: Ensure compliance with NHS Wales, represent the practice at meetings, contribute to strategy, monitor performance, manage change, and oversee communications and accommodation.

Financial management: Manage practice budgets, maximise income, report on financial implications, manage accounts, cash-flow, PAYE, pensions, and private payments.

Human resources: Oversee recruitment, retention, staffing levels, induction, training, appraisals, and grievance resolution.

Organisational: Convene meetings, develop protocols, maintain premises, ensure compliance with legislation, manage procurement, insurance, and disaster recovery.

Patient services: Develop and manage patient services, ensure compliance with access standards, oversee appointments, complaints, and patient groups.

Information management and technology: Plan IT implementation, ensure staff training, data security, maintain website and social media.

Person Specification

  • Essential: Management experience, GCSE Grade A to C in English and Maths
  • Desirable: Experience within Primary Care, Diploma in Practice Management or equivalent
